The Traditional Corner House is located in the quiet Medieval part of Ayr dating as far back as 1300 surrounded by large trees and set within the original garrison fort, built by Cromwell. The 15th century stone built house overlooks the impressive St John the Baptists Tower where Robert the Bruce was crowned and from where Cromwell commanded Scotland in 1500
The Corner House Is conveniently a short 3 minutes walk from the beaches of Ayr, the town centre,bars, restaurants and night life.
The House has an unusual layout with odd shaped rooms and sloping floors and due to its age some believe it to be haunted.
Boasting clean, comfortable and stylish rooms we offer value for money which includes a full Scottish breakfast or Brunch which guests can enjoy at the Berkeley Boutique Hotel between 10am & 11:30am which is a short 5 minute walk across Wellington gardens or alternatively guests can opt to choose a packed lunch to be delivered to their room instead of breakfast.
